No Plans to Implement 1 Outpost for town.

I think once you get to level 25 that you should be able to make 1 territory like a colony with block protection, but only 60x60 blocks around the TGen. The outpost can be claimed as a territory for another town at any time in the town's vulnerable period. The outpost would have a portal in the TGen, but only in the TGen, The Portal can not be moved. The outpost would cost 6 times more than the normal territory and if let go it will act as a neutral territory that can not be claimed as an outpost unless another town owns it. You can not name it, it will just be called and seen as (Town's name)'s Outpost.

This would be a very cool idea especially if you could make your outpost on Rivina/Balak, because it would make sense if you could have a little outpost there, especially since you would be attacking on that island all the time (plus i can finally make my little vacation home on Rivina ;) ).

I had a thought about fortress tiles, which would be a cool looking fortified battleground that has a realm of influence on the surrounding tiles. The issue being there are so many ways to cheese that sort of thing. That said, fort battles could be a way to shake up the average fight and make siege builders a relevant position.

I was actually thinking of something like this and I would like to add my thoughts. First of all, this could be a great way to add sieges without someone losing their hard-earned gear, and you could add some really useful traps and customize the t-gen. I'm not sure how this could work, but I fully support the idea.

So it becomes a small plot of land to build on that could be lost if you lose one fight? I don’t personally see much incentive to something like this but I may also be a bit spoiled with how empty the mushroom isle is along with the massive cavern that houses most of Firsthold.

Interesting idea I just don’t actually see why anyone would do this unless there’s some actual gain that makes it worth it. It’s a firm idunno from me :p

I have an idea on how to make this better. Maybe have it so the gen gives special items to those who own it.

T-Gens already cause industries to produce certain items depending on that territory. On the map if you hover over the territory you’ll see that it’ll cause industries to make coal, mushrooms, andesite, etc.

But since you don't own this "plot" for long make it have even more rare industries.

then there needs to be some risk to it and while “make it expensive” hurts newer/smaller towns, many of the larger towns have enough resources/members who grind that it wouldn’t really do much at all to their wealth.

Seems like a finacky thing to balance the risk/reward of so there’s incentive as well as risk. Or maybe it’s a simple thing and it doesn’t need more than just a small area to build and I’m looking too much into it which is also possible :p

In my opinion, I kinda support this idea but with some different light. I think maybe nomads should be able to claim a 20 x 20 territory with land (of course if it's in a town's territory then they must request for such privileges). The land could be block protected and potentially serve as an outpost, or it could even be a cosy little inn for weary travellers lost in the wild! I really like this idea, and really support it. I just feel like it needs to be a bit more fleshed out with extra incentive.

That would be even better, since as a nomad it's very frustrating that you can't protect your chests.
