A Loka Twitter?

Would there be any interest in having a Loka Twitter account that you could follow for quicker updates about the server that you could follow with your phone, tablet, whatever?

In all honesty, this server has a fairly small following. We don't really need anything more than we have to keep updated.

I'd support this as a way of advertising the server, sure.

Best examples would be things like server status, bug fixes (like when arenas turn back on), that kind of thing. If you follow on your phone or whatever, you'd get more up-to-date notifications about certain things, rather than waiting on a forum post, which not everybody checks all the time. It'd probably benefit more people than just the 12 active people we have here on the forums.

As we all know we have people that sometimes connect through iPad apps and whatnot, so they might also want that bleeding edge notification of server stuff with twitter and whatnot. Just a thought anyway. I might go ahead and just do it and see how/if people use it. Can't hurt I suppose.

It's not a bad idea i suppose. Never used twitter myself tbh but i can certainly see its uses. And as you say it cant hurt and would take very little effort to run and update.

I look at it as perhaps being more useful for the younger kids on the server who do use Twitter. I'm just old...
