Implement in Future A special bundle has spawned...

One problem with Loka is ways to get players out of towns and into the wilds, this feature is intended to give an enticing enough reward to get people out of towns into the wilds.
If enough people are online a special bundle can spawn in Garama, Ascalon, Kalros or the nether. The bundle comes in the form of a randomly generated shulker box containing rare items from diamond gear, to mob drops, to items found in the bundle's biome, building materials etc etc. When a bundle spawns it'll reveal in chat the specific coordinates of where it's spawned and on which continent, it's now up to Lokans to go grab this bundle and bring it home.
If you pick up the bundle it'll say in chat "<player> has picked up the bundle!" to avoid you being able to run in invis and grab it. To avoid looting the bundle and flying away you wouldn't be able to open it until you're at town or maybe handing in the bundle to a shady merchant at spawn is what unlocks it ready to be looted.

It essentially capture the flag yet you're capturing a bundle that gives tons of rare goodies. The whole system is intended to get people to PVP in the wilds and have a reason to explore places you may not go to regularly. It's an all-out brawl to get the bundle back safely and if you can't get the bundle at least come home alive.
There's a lot of issues with the idea and ways it could be adapted but a fun concept I thought of and wanted to share, would love to hear your feedback!

Edit: A few issues I thought of that I want to address,
- If you log out with the bundle it'll appear on the ground in the spot you logged out at. To the chat it would state "the bundle has appeared at <location>". Logging out in a town would teleport the bundle back to its original spawning location.
-To avoid people hiding somewhere in town or in a hole for too long with the bundle, there would be a time limit on how long the bundle can be redeemed for. For example from the bundle spawning, you would have 1 hour to get it to Aladra. (Obviously that time could be tweaked).
- When you hold the bundle you essentially become a beacon for the whole server to come to slay, there needs to be a way that the server can easily find out your location and give a real sense of urgency to running home with the bundle.

I really like the idea, however, what's to stop a person from grabbing a bundle right beside a town and hoping in a portal? Or is that intentionally a part of it

If it spawns next to your town you definitely deserve some form of advantage, to make sure the advantage isn't too huge you'd be forced to take the bundle from its spawning location all the way to the docks. If you try to use the town portal a message appears stating "the bundle is too heavy to be brought through this portal, to open the bundle take it back to Aladra through the docks"

That still means people who have towns close to where it spawned can get there first and take it to the docks before others get there. I think it could be made more interesting by having to find one of multiple keys to open it or find it's location.
My first idea is that you could get 'bundle keys' in loot bundles from ruins or shrines, which you'd need to be able to open the bundle. Maybe these could be compasses which point to the location of the bundle. Or there could be keys unique to the continent they were found on, and would only open special bundles on that same continent.
My other idea is that these keys would spawn on the continents, and once the keys had been taken you wouldn't be able to open the bundle unless you killed someone with a key.

Another unrelated idea: they spawn on any territory, neutral, or not. If it spawns where someone has a radar, it gives them a cryptic ping a few minutes before the announcement has gone out. As a twist, there might not be a bundle on this tile, and maybe instead a custom boss. This makes it a risk to go early.

Other completely random idea I had: Instead of just loot it's a portal to some dungeon/maze, and you have to complete the parkour and get past the traps while fighting off enemies to get to the loot. Items from dead people in there could go into the prize at the end, and once you've got that there'd either be a portal to spawn (because I think you've done enough fighting) or an exit portal somewhere in the wilds. You'd then have to get back to the docks or go back to your town from there.

A really interesting concept. I had thought of something similar to this beforehand, and I like all the cool PvE concepts coming up. A lot of these fall under the random events category where if you're online more often than not, you get the benefits. I would like to see some more PvE ideas that you can interact with whenever and don't require you to be online all the time to get the benefit.

This is something we plan to solve with a variety of random events. One of which we have planned is actually very similar to what you proposed. Perhaps we could add a second similar event in the way you described. Great to hear players of the community thinking along the same lines as us!
