There has been a video circulating around the community for a few days now which by now many of you have no doubt seen. The purpose of this post is to approach the subject of the video (as we do with claims of all sorts on the server) with what we know to be true, factual and legal. It is, however, important to say that neither Magpieman or myself are lawyers and so we can only state what our research as found as it would be improper for us to make any definitive legal claims.
As server owners, we feel we have a responsibility to safeguard members of our community, which is why we take things like bullying very seriously. There have been some recent accusations towards a member of the community of pedophilia among other things. This is obviously a very serious matter and we have spent a vast amount of effort over the past couple days doing our legwork investigating the situation.
We have done extensive digging and spoken to both involved and found no evidence of any wrongdoing or laws being broken. To the best of our knowledge, the facts are as follows:
If we had any reason to believe any laws were being broken or a vulnerable person was being taken advantage of we would contact the appropriate authorities.
This situation came to a head with the release of the aforementioned YouTube video. Its creator took it upon his self to start a crusade of misinformation and abuse towards the parties involved. As a result of this harassment, they have been banned from the server, as well as Discord. Legal action is also being taken against this individual. The police have launched a criminal investigation under the malicious communications act and we are supporting them in any way we can with their investigation.
The content of the video goes far beyond trying to make a valid legal case of impropriety, but rather states things that are objectively false, spreads personal information without consent (doxxing) and finally goes off the rails to include personal attacks including wishing somebody's death. This is what we find to be vile and extreme and is why action is being taken against the creator of the video.
As always, if you are concerned about anyone on the server please contact Magpieman or Cryptite through DMs either here or on Discord. Whether it is related to laws being broken, a community member who is vulnerable/in danger or bullying, please come to us. The same goes if you have any evidence you feel may help. We will, and always do, go above and beyond what is reasonably expected of Minecraft server owners to safeguard our community.
Finally, the spread of misinformation has resulted in far too much bullying in public chat, we will be tolerating no further abuse towards these players. This is a tired topic, we're all exhausted hearing about it and dealing with it. Let us all move on and get back to spicy Conquest Fights.

- Two members of the Lokan community have been 'dating' for the past few months. One of whom is 18 and the other 16.
- They are from the UK and California.
- Last month they met up in New York with 7 other members of an online community they are a part of.
- Nothing of a sexual nature has ever happened.
- According to California state law, it is fine for two people of these ages to 'date'.
- Similarly, In the UK it is fine for two people of these ages to date because the age of consent is 16.
