Recently there have been numerous instances where players have discovered a bug on Loka and instead of reporting it, they have proceeded to abuse and gain an advantage from it. This is a clear breach of rule 4.1. In the majority of cases 'not realising it is a bug' is not a valid excuse. If you notice something that doesn't seem quite right, chat with an admin or make a report, if you are wrong, and it's working as intended, then no harm done. As with all new features, Orbs had a few major bugs at launch despite the testing that was done prior to release. Sadly some of our players chose not to report these.
The first bug was players claiming the free orbs for joining Loka's discord every time they logged onto the server. Both Zephryx and GeeklyOnCoffee took advantage of this and continued to log out and in order to receive free orbs. They gained 550 and 350 Orbs respectively by abusing this bug and spent the Orbs straight away. Mrpisquallie immediately brought this to our attention when he noticed it by making a report, so thank you Mrpisquallie for doing this. The Second bug involved purchasable heads. There were numerous heads hidden from public view but some players found a way to access these by using the search function. There were around 400 of these heads, all of which were purchasable for 0 Orb. This is clearly unintentional, but despite this not a single player reported it. The two biggest offenders were BuscoNombre who took 140 heads and Deathbringer_ who took 37. Between them that's the equivalent of over 10,000 Orbs worth of heads they took for nothing. The others that took advantage of this know who you are.
The free Orbs gained from the first bug have been removed from their accounts and all the heads have been gathered and destroyed. While BuscoNombre did help us discover what was causing the bug, he still abused it prior to this. (His punishment has therefore been reduced) Zephryx, GeeklyOnCoffee, BuscoNombre, and Deathbringer_ will all be receiving a 48 hour ban for their actions. Please take this as a warning that we will be clamping down on bug abuse far harder in the future and people will face lengthier bans.
