as someone who pays people orbs to do things, its really annoying that the lowest amount I can give out is 500 for 5 dollars. that means each time I gotta get them to do things worth 5 dollars, which is bad for both me and them. As such, if we could either send orbs to other people or be able to buy lower amounts of orbs from the store (maybe 100 for 1 dollar) it would be really helpful for people like me.

Plenty of ways to earn lower amounts of orbs, like with /vote. We will also never allow orb trades as we have stated many times throughout the past.

No, because we'd lose like half of a $1 purchase to fees depending on the payment method used. Payment providers all charge both a percentage fee and a base fee (For example, PayPal's is 2.49% + $0.40).
