So I was going to make a stone generator and it didn't work. So then I checked the updates and it looks like this mechanic was removed due to players creating cobble monsters.
While I am against cobble monster creation, I also like stone generators so I have two possible solutions:
1. The more simple/worse solution: make lava only be placeable below a certain y level, this should be the more simple solution as it should be similar to how you prevented water being placed in caves in the RI, and would limit cobble monster generation to be almost useless. Although limiting lava height would also make it impossible to use in surface builds.
2. What I think is the better solution: Allow town owners to create a zone that would allow stone/cobblestone generators to function. I'd imagine this option would be harder to do, but would make cobble monster generation impossible to most people who would like to grief this way.
