Suggestion Adding a plugin that allows Bedrock users to join

A friend of mine (SoulReaper) wanted me to suggest something to yall because she's too lazy to get a forums account, but thats beyond the point.

She wants a plugin to be added that will allow Bedrock users to join Loka, and it sort of does make sense, no clue how it would affect Lokas current system. But I do think it's a good idea, Loka obviously wants more users as it would prefer more users and fix bugs later. Any thoughts? She suggested Geyser, but again, that's from her.

It isn't actually a plugin that does this, Gesyer is it's own program that essentially acts as a Bedrock server that forwards your connection to a Java server. This makes it possible for people to run it on their own without Loka doing much of anything. I am not sure what the implications of this sort of tech are in terms of giving an in-game advantage and how useful it would be to actually allow people to use. It's nice that it does allow for people to do it without Loka's intervention but the server would likely be almost unplayable because of the limits of the technology. I would still consider it though as it would be quite useful for some peeps.

yes and no, while there is a standalone application that you can use, there is also a plugin version that is available. I've only ever used the standalone but the concept is the same. One thing I will say though, a lot of Loka (and just Minecraft in general) doesn't translate well in these versions (for example pearl gates are unusable) Link for GeyserMC

So essentially if added, it completely change the dynamic on Loka...

If this server uses geyser and seriously wants to advertise to bedrock then it'd be best that Loka moved to bedrock completely.
Maybe one day if Loka was popular enough then there could be a standalone bedrock server but for now Java and Bedrock are separate and for very good reason.
There's also enough hurdles to Loka development as is pls no mobile players raiding my town by glitching in
