AJMoody ban appeal

Hello All,

I am appealing my Perma-ban today because I was banned alongside a group that were duping, Even though I myself never duped. I should have immediately reported it to staff and for that I greatly apologize. I'd like to specifically apologize to the Loka staff for wasting their time tracking down the many items and cores that were duped and used. I was attempting to protect my friends at the time and thats why I never reported it to begin with, they were people that I thought I could trust and I didn’t want to betray them. however since they decided to report me pretending I duped along side them I see that theres no point hiding the truth any longer. In the future if I see any abusable features within Loka I will immediately report them directly to staff to avoid this situation from occurring again.

+1 same thing as Constantine he decided not to throw away a close 1 year friendship for loka free my manz he made the right choice

+1 This shouldn't be a perm ban, Loka staff needs to stop making any punishment that is over a month permanent, in AJs case I think it should be 4-5 months, dont just make it permanent because you're lazy or some other lame excuse
 
+1 i think the ban should be made into a temp one since he did not directly participate in the duping

Constantine’s appeal was genuine, he showed remorse for his actions, admitted that he had to make a tough decision, and he’s been a long-standing positive community member. This gives him a leg up because he’s already shown he’s a positive influence for the community.

Thus showing that his reason for appealing was mainly in part due to the fact that he felt betrayed. In short, he’s more sorry that he got caught and was “betrayed” rather than doing the wrong things. This appeal also just feels like a rehashing of Constantine’s appeal rather than an original written by himself.

-1 Didn't really seem apologetic, but the ban should be reduced to a temp since he was not duping with the squad.

the reason I appealed was because I got perma banned due to not reporting a dupe, and then layed out the reasons why i didnt report in the first place.
what was I caught doing? yes I did fail to report a dupe but as I stated in my appeal, in future if I find any game breaking bugs I'd immediately /report it even if it was being abused by people I knew. I'm appealing due to not reporting a dupe and then getting perma banned rather than temp banned.
I hadnt even realised con had appealed when I was writing my appeal as he said he'd appeal on the weekend and I posted this before.

I'd also like to clarify that I wasnt necessarily asking to be unbanned (although would prefer that) but instead asking for the ban to not be perma. sorry if I didnt make that clear in my original post.

Adding on to my -1 it really didn't sound genuine either, It doesn't sound apologetic neither genuine so therefore this appeal would be denied. But I would still say this ban shouldn't be perma just for not reporting his friends duping, He should've been temp banned since this is a first offense ( I think ) and he probably didn't know to report it or just wanted to stay loyal to his friends.

perm ban isn't always perm ban it's just giving no acces to the server until they prove themselves to be worth another chance by for example writing a good appeal after that's sounds like you actually care

Um, AJ claims he never duped, what else is there to say? He's innocent and should be unbanned or atleast have a shortened ban.... As to the perm ban thing, that's not fair, there are actions, and there are equal consequences, you shouldn't have to prove yourself worthy to play again. Although if it's something serious like this then sure, but only the actual dupers should be given that treatment, not AJ.
 
+1 I have talked with him and he regrets his actions. It is a sucky situation since you never want to report your friends but given the fact that he never participated in the duping I think he has served his time and is ready for an unban. I think this will serve as a good learning opportunity.

Although we may permaban for both we understand they're two different things and therefore we may be more lenient with forgiving this than the players who actually duped.
