No Plans to Implement Allow people to not use the custom texture pack.

The loading times with the pack are horrible and sometimes it just stays stuck or crashes your game. I dont see any reason for why it should be mandatory to use, it was not before so I dont see why it should be right now. I get that a lot of the textures have been renewed with the pack but I think you should be able to play without it.

To be fair, I think this is being fixed in 1.21. Loading times should only be a worry on first log in.

Yeah, but thats not the point. It is about being able to have a choice to use it or not.

There are many icons, textures, and sounds that are required in Loka to be able to see many assets around the server (not including future plans including music and more), so the requirement for the forced server pack is only ever going to be increasing unfortunately.

Resource pack reloads are made worse by having lots of other resource packs and mods loaded; perhaps that is causing you more trouble?

If you wish to eat, you choose the restaurant you go to based on what you want. You don't go to McDonalds and demand they serve shrimp.
