I thought about it, and I don't see what kind of unfair disadvantage do waypoints give to a player. If there are some that I've missed, please let me know

loka tries to maintain as vanilla of an experience as possible in the sense that players with 0 modifications wouldnt be at any major disadvantage compared to players using every allowed mod possible and i think this would cross that threshold but its really just a matter of opinion, being able to navigate naturally can be considered a skill and it feels boring to just have people using waypoints to hold W towards

that is a fair point, unfortunate that not many think that way but I wish they did

We're fine with waypoints now. Being strict on navigating the world doesn't exactly equalize the competitive field on Loka.
