black dye right now is super annoying and time consuming to get while its just used for building please add a custom recipe to make black dye easier to get

literally go to any docks with a looting 3 sword and kill squids.

edit; even tho you can grind it at docks its a cool idea to be craftable

its rlly not that hard to get you need 64 black dye to make 8 stacks of glass, concrete or terracota, if you want black dye grind for it (should take maybe an hour to get alot) or be like richman @Piruletaas and buy it

I like the idea of alternative ways to get it big time. Can't make a squid farm on Loka. Iirc, bundles drop it sometimes?

I started buying it because took me 15 mins to get a stack, flying around the beach looking for squids. I think the solution of this is increase the % of squids on Loka. Other alternatives like bundles as Koi said are cool but this one with coal will be too op and will destroy that “economy”

It’s not when it’s for blocks because you get x8 blocks from each ink sack. But it’s hard when your town banner needs a stack of black dye to craft only 16 banners as mine.

When I was grinding to build my castle I spent like 3 hours in the ocean with a looting III and got close to 2 shulkers of ink sacs. Just turn off brain and grind
