I would like to appeal my Discord mute. I was muted in early June for pushing chat rules a tad too much; in particular rule #3.
While I agree that perhaps I troll around a little too much, I disagree with the premise that I do it to “purposefully agitate or disrupt the community”, as stated by Mag. Everything I say or joke about has absolutely no malice and I represent that by acting goofy when I do joke or troll around, whether by completely misspelling words, alternating through caps/lowercase, and/or by talking absolute nonsense. When I was muted, it was even obvious that it did not agitate the community, rather the opposite. I was jokingly sterotyping staff members by comparing them to movie characters, horror villains, and obscure references. It may also be worth mentioning again, that some staff were encouraging me to continue and stereotype others as well.
Regardless, I’m not going to deny the fact that I probably should shut up and quit joking around all the time. What I find truly disappointing and somewhat disturbing, is how in Magpie’s response on to my prior appeal, he completely neglected to acknowledge that I had been, and still have been, trying to cut down on the trolling and joking. At the time of my mute, I had completely stopped making meme posts/applications/bug appeals on the forums, outside of one or two instances I had only kept to having serious conversations and quit trolling, and I became far more helpful in guide chat and less talkative in all other chats. I think it was completely unfair to completely ignore my effort to change in his appeal response and I’m hoping he will acknowledge it this time around.
