Implement in Future Chairs

I feel as though something like this has been posted before, but I couldn't find anything on it. If you do find something on changing the chair plugin please link it in the comments.

I'm not sure how to go about it, but I feel the way chairs work should be changed, because it is extremely annoying having to put signs on either side of a stair to make it act as a chair, I've had problems with many builds because adding signs would ruin the look of the build. So if you have any suggestions on how to change this please post them below.

It's theoretically possible to change, but we need a way to differentiate stair blocks with chairs. If you have ideas on different blocks that could be added to stairs to make them a chair, pop them bellow.

What if just stairs were used? It would give the opportunity to sit on the doorstep yet have a realistic throne inside. No blocks on the side required

The issue with this is it also means you can sit on roofs and any builds with stairs in. Not only is this a bit odd and could be frustrating accidentally sitting on everything, but it also opens up raiding possibilities by sitting on peoples walls and houses to 'glitch' through them.

it would be useful if there was an option to deny players the option to sit on things in towns imo

Rather than deny players the ability to sit on a chair it should probably be an opt in thing, as it is atm. Something like a zone or tool you can use to specifically give particular slabs or stairs the sit-able property.
