While cool that you can sit on stairs, chairs on Loka leave a desire for more and end up becoming more of a pain than a good thing. How Loka's chairs work mean its hard to find scenarios for them where they can fit, look nice and work well. To get a chair to fit everything has to be built around it.
I'm aware in the situations of a grand table or large room it can work but once you get down to maybe a campfire setting or compact inn/tavern you're usually best off just have non-sittable chairs for the sake of looks.
Sure you could expand sitting functionality to stairs without signs or slabs or other blocks but that can still be incredibly limiting.
My suggestion here is using a command or item that allows you to turn a block into a sittable block. Want people to sit on the floor around the campfire it can be done, turn trapdoor into barstools, a fence gate into an incredibly sharp uncomfortable chair etc etc. This could be unlocked as a town perk or an expensive item at spawn to buy or a limit on how many "chairs" are in town to prevent lag.
