You may recognize a similar mod from popular modpacks such as RLCraft, which is a different mod but is only for forge and is only compatible with Optifine/Vanilla, forks of this mod have been made in the past, but have been discontinued, mainly due to the fact of Sodiums increase in popularity, and since Sodium changes how rendering works, they have only worked in Vanilla.
