(I am totally posting this because Wxndernut gave me the idea on a recent post I made that I might delete because this is a much better idea.)
Ascalon has the Cod, Kalros has the Salmon, and Garama has the Pufferfish. All three of these continents have that kind of fish exclusively spawning, and being caught in water. Yet the Tropical Fish (Clownfish) can also be caught, albeit rarely, on these continents but don't spawn naturally. If you think about it, Rivina is quite tropical, so why not have the Tropical Fish be the continental fish of Rivina? This would mean adding weights back for them, and making them not obtainable on the other continents. I am unsure if Tropical Fish (Clownfish) were removed from having weights for a reason or not, but this would be a great way to add them back.
And well we're at it, we can't leave Balak out of the fun. I've noticed that when catching special fish, its name specifically says Raw in it. I get this is part of the actual item name, but it just stands out a bit. Since trying to place water in Balak doesn't work because "It's too hot" as the message prompt in chat says, the fish are probably being boiled in that scolding water! It would be a nice touch to catch Cooked Fish in Balak with weights on them as a nice touch so Balak isn't left out of having its own unique fish. And may as well add it to the Nether too 'cause, apparently the Nether has water? But it's also too hot to place water in.
That would be all the places that seem necessary to have special fish covered for them, as Aladra having every fish makes sense, and the End has no water naturally, so it doesn't need it.
If Rivina were to have its own continental fish type, would it need to be added to the list of possible Fishing Tournament spots? I get that it isn't a main continent and doesn't have a Resource Island, and in order to have it be part of the Fishing Tournament it would need its own special Fishing Tournament grounds, which would most likely be a new island, and the achievement for Master Angler would have to be updated, and it would be a bit of work, but I do believe it could fit in well if implemented.
