Suggestion Custom Names on Ruin Gear

Hey so you know the cool enchanted diamond stuff you get from Loot Bags in Ruins?

I absolutely love the custom lore. It brings so much of a fantasy feel, it's great. But to make it even more awesome, what if it had a randomized custom name?

Instead of "Diamond Boots," what if you scoured up "<Holy> Diamond Boots" or something similar? Just adding a bit of lore and mystery seems like such a cool thing to me. It really makes it personal and unique! Plus, it would make sense for gear in Ruins to have names/lore because it's in a dead Town rather than simply a reward from a Shrine. One could dig up a custom piece of gear imagined to perhaps have been used by a Town member of the dead Town.

Would love if this was actually done differently for different towns, if it used to be a medieval town it could have uniform etc, a town based off a religion would have holy items etc
That would require more work for staff, but if they're up for it, cool!

If it's NOT up to staff though, you can have a much bigger randomized list of words. Heck, you could even add a noun in there, like "<Darkened> Diamond Sword of <Chaos>"!

I know I've said this in so many past suggestions, but maybe they could contain valuable items that had despawned in the surrounding biome / or valuable items that were picked up by the town npc while the town was alive.
You know how annoying losing stuff because you don't find where you died can be - and this idea would also encourage the exploration of ruins. Also it would add genuine history to what is found in the loot.

It would be neat, but in all honesty we do want things to be lost to time, destroyed, etc. This is a sometimes valuable resource sink.

As far as genuine history of ruins, many genuine artifacts of a town that dies are taken by looters. We just wanted reasons to come back to ruins for other players. Between Void Splits, actual town-loot, ghosts, loot bundles as well as the new visuals of ruins, we feel there is sufficient motivation to check out ruins.

For sure! I'm loving the new Ruins so far. However, since the loot bundles already have uniquely lored gear, I don't think it'd be too big of a stretch to add in a bit more of a custom feel to them with randomized names.

This may just be me being fussy but personally I'd consider it to ruin the immersion. An example of this is how with throwing in 'holy diamond boots' it suddenly seems as if we're just throwing words in for the sake of it.

EDIT: Crypt has hinted at adding diamond holy boots in the future btw

How does Loot Bundle spawning work? I've noticed if I go to the same ruin a lot it just produces less than the first time I was there.

Once they have been looted, they do not return immediately. I can't say the exact time it takes for them to return, but it is different for all ruins. To get the most bundles, I would recommend going to as many different ruins as possible, especially those that other players don't know of.

Will there ever be any way in which lost items can be reclaimed, or discovered? Maybe an event? A rare occurrence similar to the horse guy?

We never say never, but personally I am not in favor of any such thing. Like I said before, we want things to sometimes become irrecoverably lost on the server for various, previously-stated reasons.

Please link the thread where you hinted at this crypt

Adding in adjectives if they don't relate to the town wouldn't add much immersion for me. What I would see as really interesting is certain ruin bundles getting specific items that related to the town ruin. These could be really simple such as the Seagulls ruins having feathers in their ruin bundles because that makes sense. Since I have very poor knowledge of towns I can't think of other examples (other than NN having chicken in its bundles but we still livin'!) but you probably get the idea.
