Hello and good morning, evening or night to all staff and Lokans that are currently reading this.
I was banned approximately 4 months ago for “Hate Speech and Harrassment” and I am making this appeal to publicly apologize to the people I’ve hurt during my time on Loka, provide context for some of my actions, and share some self-improvement actions I’ve taken to prove to the community that my presence on Loka is non-threatening.
I will start off by giving out the story that was the catalyst for my ban. For this, I will have to provide context from another Minecraft server that Loka shares some of its player base with called “Crusalis”.
For a quick TLDR, Crusalis is a geopolitical server hosted by seasons, with each season being themed around a different time period of history. Different countries are pre-claimed by player groups before the server starts, and many groups participate each season and take the server very seriously, as several hours of planning and grinding need to take place throughout the season to be successful. I, myself, usually lead a group of friends each season as well, and I did so again in the previous April season.. During one of the final wars in the server, the person who reported me (gontossed) had betrayed my group at the end of a near-6 hour war in an extremely crucial way because his group wanted to gain the glory of taking out another group (which I am now friends with) called the KOEL, bear in mind, this 6-hour war had been non-stop fighting, organizing players, and changing plans, and understandably, everybody was exhausted, tilted and overall in a bad mental state. Just as we were about to finally end the other group, gontossed betrayed my group in the last few minutes to try and take everything for himself. When the incident happened, I did not take it kindly, but that was not the sole reason for my backlash against him. I had mostly indirect contact with gontossed by this point and my impression of him was that he was an overall weird and potentially dangerous character. He had posted disturbing images in some alliance discords related to the server, he had little patience, and when anything went wrong, he immediately complained and sought retribution against whoever.
My poor opinion of him was later justified even more by the fact that he was banned in the very next Crusalis iteration for “Spreading Child Porn”, illicit images of underage children- the screenshot proof for this will be provided towards the end of the appeal.
With my dislike of him, the mental exhaustion I had from fighting for 6 hours straight in the server coupled with my group pushing me to do anything to conciliate with them resulted in me confronting gontossed about his actions. When I saw the confrontation wasn’t going my way, in an act of rage, I spouted lots of racist remarks and, although it contained no slurs, the message clearly portrayed my aggression. However, in a moment of clarity a few hours after the incident, I tried to delete the evidence by deleting the discord messages but it was far too late. I ended up rightfully banned for Hate Speech and Harassment for my racist remarks. I later on apologized to the leaders of gontossed’s group (gimabvs and ItzThunder) and I can claim that we are still good friends.
I knew that my decision to delete the messages was a terrible course of action to take shortly after I did it, so I was expecting to be banned and it wasn’t a shock to me, although many people asked me for the reasoning in private messages. However, this ban did free up a lot of my time to focus on real-life endeavours which I’d like to highlight. Mainly, I was able to focus a lot more for my university exams, being able to put in more time studying to pass my exams. I was also able to get a job, which helped me learn to calm down and practice self-restraint when dealing with frustrating people. I still played online games, but I balanced that time with other activities, like hanging out with friends, playing football, and eating healthier. The online games that I did play were much less intense, and when I did touch Minecraft, it was mostly to support the regulators/admins on the Diamond Pot community Discord, either by interacting with the community on the Discord or doing a few tier tests, which led me to make some new friends along the way.
I have met lots of people in Loka, some enemies and some allies, and although ingame beef may have gone a bit too far during the most heated moments of the server, I believe that is what makes it fun and gives off a spark of competition, especially when the people you have fought against end up allying with you, fighting with you, and even befriending you sometimes. Putting it simply, even though you might beef or fight with some of the players on the server, you often end up befriending them and having good moments with them, which is what I really enjoyed doing on the server. I believe I can claim the fact that I have made more friends on the server than enemies, and I never intended to seriously cause harm to members of the Loka community intentionally. I’ve tried to be the person who helps others who are down, whether that be through giving game tips, having a good time with them in a fun fight, or simply talking with them to try and make their day a tiny bit better. I will not deny that at some points I had gotten too toxic to some of my opponents, but I have never gone over to personally harass them over their race or religion, and in any case of conflict, I usually end up apologizing and making up with them. I believe that, even if I have only spent a short amount of time banned, the experiences that I have gone through during this time span have caused me to mature significantly.

gontossed, Kappah and nekometa, janekv, CoraWhy, and Raddus
gontossed: Although I may dislike you for your illicit actions, I still believe that nobody should be
shamed and harassed the way I did, so I would like to apologize for my actions since in the end, even if we both put a lot of time into it, it is just a block game at the end of the day, and I should not have done what I did.
Kappah and Nekometa: During one of the Ascalon months where I won, I was toxic to you guysafter I left the alliance, so I would like to apologize for any words or actions that might have annoyed you during that time span.
janekv: At a tier test fight that I lost against you, I sperged out and said some unforgivable things to you. Thank you for forgiving me and accepting my apology.
CoraWhy: After a ranked match where you were slightly laggy I lashed out at you, and rightfully received my final warning. Although we later on reconciled and spent some time playing MC and other games together, I would still like to apologize.
Raddus: During my first month of Loka at cove, I insulted you after a ganking session and that led to my first warning, even if I apologized and you maybe dont remember it, I would like to go back again and re-apologize.
