No Plans to Implement Discord Fishing Tourney/Reins fight suggestion

We have discussed this many times and always come to the conclusion that it is bad for the server. Players who are actively playing on the server should be rewarded by knowing when the event starts and not having to worry about as much competition. It applies less to the fishing tournament but we have plans for lots more events like it in the future. If it is pinged, the same people will show up every time and leave as soon as it's over. I don't want to go into detail about the future planned events but we feel it would be unhealthy to have pings for every event. Many will have PvP enabled and we'd rather word of mouth alert those not on the server that an event was going on. Not going to rule out our views changing in the future, but that's where we stand currently.

if a new town recently started and they are in school how are they expected to know when a fishing tourney is supposed to happen if they aren't online for the single hour a day it happens?

ah yes "@everyone fishing tournament in 5 days"
Ah yes "We should force new players to stay on 24 hours a day if they want to be able to get mending books and or see a pretty cool part of loka" in all seriousness there should be a time listed so if a new player who plays like 2/3 hours on weekdays theres a pretty good chance he doesn't know what a fishing tourney is unless they are in active communication with the rest of the community which doesn't really say "New player friendly"

1. why are you so insistent that new players NEED to go to fishing tournaments? I really don't think a mending book and angler title is the first thing new players have to do.
2. It says it in tab and in chat AND on the server description in the Minecraft menu like 24 hours in advance when a tourney is happening so yeah it's already pretty easy to find out when it's happening
3. I go to school and play around 2/3 hours on weekdays and I was able to get master angler within like 2 months of joining the server so your whole point makes no sense and this suggestion is useless

1. why are you insitent that new players should be blocked from joining in loka events?
2. Considering how Inconsistent they are
3a. You played during covid and got it During covid (no school O_O_O_O_O_O)
3b. you were literally apart of wf this is for new players who aren't in any major alliances
