Because it takes two pages of people not accepting or even understanding a completely valid viewpoint which has been backed up with multiple examples and held up under many "what ifs" for him to quit - which is more than enough to make anyone feel tired of this crap, Ron.

From my understanding, East has been caught hacking and was punished almost a year ago. If he was hacking just recently, I would also vote no, but from what I can tell, he has learned his lesson and moved on.
There is no denying it. East isn't perfect. He has a knack for getting in trouble and often angers others. However, I'll stake my reputation that East has done his best over the last few months to change.
Everyone makes mistakes. People are known to often do dumb things some point in their lives. It's human nature. Noone here is pefect either. The real question should be, are they willing to change? Are they willing to admit their flaws and improve themselves?

tl;dr I do think we should give him a second chance.

After that rejection I was wary of applying again, and when I did my application ignited a flame war and was subsequently turned down. I was never told why, and never needed to be told (that particular round of promotions was shortly after the advent of Skype on the server and Jocelyn's late night drinking parties with the admin team were in full swing).

I don't appreciate the implication that I'm some kind of tainted specimen where my rank is concerned. I have never been banned or tempbanned for breaking a rule, only ever as a joke or to test something. Neither have I ever been demoted. That's more than almost our entire current admin team can say.

May I ask What the actual heck just happened? I am gone for like 2 mins maybe more from loka forum and I see the explosion here....
