Dont you think that maybe The End should be an exception? If you were tagged in the overworld you could run away in merely any direction in order to escape or regroup or whatever it may be but since the end island is so small once your tagged there is no escape other then dying to a player or dying to the void. Being able to use that portal while tagged provides that balance in The End. Unless the whole point is if your going to The End your sacrificing that privilege which in that case im all for it.
It's fair in my opinion. As I stated above there is a specific spot that is no pvp zone for one, it's also dumb to never be able die in end island unless someone places crystals and even then you can just go invis and /log or fly back to docks. There have been multiple times when I would've been screwed and got out with that portal when it was blocked with 7 people surrounding it. Not fun or fair to never die at dragon island.
