Admin abuse is a very loose term on Loka that has come to mean little nothing in context, and it used as a joke otherwise. This thread will explain how to make a legitimate report of admin abuse where your accusations will be heard and looked into.
This system is being implemented so that players will be able to keep checks on admins who may be using their powers in inappropriate ways, and hopefully create a stronger relationship of trust between the players and admins.
First of all, this will be the formal way of reporting admin abuse if any player feels that it exists. Admin abuse constitutes as the abuse of admin-specific powers that either gives the admin an unfair advantage or harms another player. If no player is harmed or given an unfair advantage, then no admin abuse is happening.
Secondly, all accusations are anonymous to the public, and the accuser will only be known by the person who receives the complaint.
Finally, we will only take serious complaints about admin abuse. In order to deter people from joke reports, violators could be banned for a few days and even prohibited from using the system in the future.
How to Report Admin Abuse:
1. Decide which admin to send a PM to reporting the abuse. This can be any Guardian, Magpieman, or Cryptite.
2. Fill out the following form:
Name of Admin:
Short explanation of why you feel there is admin abuse:
(Either give one of the following):
3 specific instances that deal with a certain power (example: abuse of smite)
-OR-
4 specific instances that deal with 2 or more powers (example: abuse of smite and teleport)
(Instances do not have to prove abuse, but must give reasonable suspicion of abuse)
3. Send the PM and wait for the situation to be looked into.
After the accusation has been reported, the admins will look into the issue and will solve it (again, only if the accusation is legit and not a joke).
Admins rightfully accused will be dealt with as appropriate to the situation. Admins will not necessarily be demoted or banned if caught abusing power, but will be if deemed necessary; otherwise, the admin in question will be forced to straighten up.
