I feel that if the Loka team plan to implement the new weapons (mace and spear) then a effective way to implement them would be by adding them alongside bosses that would have a chance of dropping the materials needed to craft them.
This is how I feel if they were to implement this system then they should go about it like this-
The new boss has a chance to drop a piece needed to craft the weapon, for example a boss could drop a ""Special diamond"" which is necessary to craft the diamond spear, the same would apply to the sticks that are needed to craft the spear and potentially the heavy core if there are plans to add the mace.
Once all the ""Special"" materials have been collected then one can craft the weapon.
Why I think this would be good-
It encourages more social interactions within towns and alliances, right now I feel that people only really log into Loka and join towns for fights, I think that by adding this feature it kind of lets the Loka playerbase extend not just being primarily PvP but also PvE. Towns could have actually more a "social setting" if that makes sense, having to organise members to get online so that they could challenge the boss and potentially get the reward, it would naturally require coordination, roles and planning and thus would encourage town members to interact more ahead of times instead of only getting on to fight in a war.
I also feel it would encourage server longevity and player retention, it gives players a reason to log on instead of just when they get pinged for a war, it adds a sort of progression system outside of PvP which isn't for everyone.
Would prevent the new weapons from just being instantly obtainable by anyone, still keeping that original 1.9 style of combat to those that prefer it while adding some variety in a sense to fights.
This would also mean that alliances aren't just for wars now, there could be alliances but together for the goal of beating these bosses, encouraging conflict not on the primary basis of territory across continents that it is currently.
It also offers more skill expression on Loka, for example fighting with a sword isn't for everyone but with this it still adds the option of new weapons for those who want it but with a added twist I feel that is fun.
Although Loka is primarily PvP focused, I feel adding this can expand the playerbase into PvE while also being a supporting branch in a sense that kind of connects everything together.
