Suggestion Instamine Deepslate - Town Perk, Enchnaced Beacon Effect, or Consumable Item.

Hello hello!

Having mined around 204,500 deepslate, I want to slate Mojang for its decision not to make large areas clearable without an absurd amount of TNT or enough moss to cover continental Europe.

In vanilla, it’s much easier to gather the gunpowder needed (via, say, a creeper farm) to craft the deeply absurd amounts of TNT required to blast a large area down to bedrock. I think that was perhaps what Mojang had in mind.

On Loka, I’ve calculated that to clear a single hex, I need over a hundred thousand shards of gunpowder. I’ve been gathering this over the course of weeks like a dragon.

Moss is also an option, but the amount of bonemeal required is similarly limiting without mob farms for most players (it is also lil frustrating and mind bending to do for hours on end over hundreds of thousands / millions of blocks).

I thought, what could be cool (and inspire hope for aspiring Gimlipops out there), is if there were some balanced way to make deepslate instaminable via one of these conditions:
  1. A Town Perk.
  2. Enhanced Beacon Effect (for example, if two Haste II beacons are overlapping).
  3. Some kind of consumable potion, perhaps through the brewing mod.
Anyway! Hope you dig it! In the meantime, I’m off to keep mining and have a deep think about my life choices!

Nothing should replace it… they should just, idk, fix it… it made raiding towns so easy because you didn’t have to go back and forth endlessly to empty their entire storage.
It doesn't need to replace the Town Chest. It could be added in addition to another perk if any happen to be underpowered. It can also be done via another means, for example beacons or brewable. That wouldn't need Town Perks to be touched at all.

I’m all for extra town perks, we need em
In Town Perk form what it could do is reduce the block hardness value for deepslate inside the tile for town members to the same as stone (down from 3 to 1.5). Might also address any unintended balance issues from mining everything else faster too.

In what legitimate scenarios are people needing to dig out massive enough areas of deepslate to warrant an entirely new perk? Digging out entire tiles down to bedrock doesn't seem like gameplay we'd ever want to specifically cater to.

I feel most players would have no desire / the stamina to do a x2 Gimlipop by mining out the entire tile. I suppose legitimate thinking would be that it would open up an additional, previously difficult to access space in the town tile for development which could be a good reward.

I think the problem is currently to remove any area at all is excessively challenging and a bit of a strain. This is coming from the player that crafted 1.2 Million Dried Kelp Blocks.

I am trying to mine out a single hex to make a deep underground volcanic cave where the desert meets the Blistering Ocean. It's a custom micro biome I've wanted to build for over a year hence my big ore selling competition last June in which I gave out two Lores.

I have however, underestimated the challenge of getting through the deepslate. It rather feels like a prohibitive barrier without vanila sources of gunpowder. I've tried two things that are faster than mining by hand:

1) Moss
(I have crafted 46,800 bone blocks in total and I've already made a dent in the supply). This small corner section with moss and bone meal has legitimately taken me 2 days and there is still a section remaining:

2) TNT
The other thing I have been doing is TNT. I have set up a grid that does a controled part section of the Hex. It costs something like 3,125 shards for every blast! (Assuming a stack of TNT costs 1,000 shards).

Probably the most expensive button to push on Loka!

I only have enough TNT to clear 1/3rd of a section. If I were to do a whole single hex (50 layers of deepslate to bedrock) I've estimated it to cost between 350,000 to 400,000 shards worth of TNT/Gunpowder. In Vanilla sourcing that Gunpowder is doable with a Creeper farm, but that not being possible it makes clearing areas out a battle for the ages.

It would still be nice even when not digging out an entire tile. Deepslate is so annoying, makes it basically wasted space under town since nobody wants to dig it out, even for smaller projects like farms or rooms.

Doesn't need to be a town perk though. Could be some sort of double beacon effect, conquest point purchase, custom affordable potion (but possibly too strong if can be used outside of town).
