There should be an option in /profile to make town, local, and public chat look how it used to.

honestly though, maybe? I really got use to the new colours and I think they are great. I don’t see any reason why we should let people go back to the old colours? They match with the rest of the color code and all.

well they got slightly changed again, but if u saw them before they were god awful

would still prefer the old ones back tho! give me the option

I agree, giving people the option at least. Very hard to culture shift big changes like this that people have been used to for years. Least then players would have preference over what they are forced to work with.

Quite frankly I like the new system, it's simple, doesn't mean that others have to though.

One concern is that we are going to be overhauling just about every single color on Loka that represents these similar ideas; so even if chat colors could be optionally legacy, the rest of the server might not.

Another point Cryptite didn't bring up is continuing to maintain legacy chat as we add new updates to Loka. We already have plans for new chats in the future and would have to go back and add support for the old legacy chat too, which is extra work we could really do without. This is why I can't see us ever doing this for everywhere we display colour on the server.
