hello loka mc recently i was shocked to learn of the revelation that i was unable to message some of my muted peers and thus my private communication with them in game was completely SHATTERED! this is terrible. a mute is a punishment that stops the player from communicating with other players due to a tendency of toxicity or inappropriate behavior. however, it is inhumane to also make it so that you cannot message muted players. ways of communicating with muted players currently are limited to vcs, signs, alliance and town chats (unless they are muted in those too lawl) and very unclear head shaking. by enabling us to message our muted compatriots we can be able to communicate our ideas to them easier while also keeping the punishment imposed on them still have the same value. i believe this change is purely quality of life and will barely effect anything, especially since alot of the mutes now are just due to player rivalries and the overall weaponization of staff punishment. alot of people report because you said ez when you killed me or you linked my cool minecraft sword that you stole too many times so i will now dig up a stone slab with hieroglyphics that you wrote circa 3000 bc where you say a racial slur and get you muted because that is clearly the mature and healthy thing to do!! muted players being unable to recieve messages is inhumane and i believe the ability to recieve a dm should be a human right shared by all lokans.
TLDR: let me message muted players it barely changes anything and is just a quality of life that does not effect the punishment on the muted player it helps you communicate with your teammate even if they cant respond they can atleast understand what you are doing and act accordingly.
