I am proud to formally announce the beginning of Lokan News Network (working title, Kalrosian Caw is another idea... Suggestions appreciated)!

The Lokan News Network is a series I post to my YouTube channel (as well as SoundCloud). In it, I discuss what has happened in the previous week in regards to Loka! That means battle reports, upcoming events (both server/community hosted), noteworthy forum discussions, raid news, and all things Loka.

But that's not all! Also included with the general "news" portion of LNN are special features, such as Town tours*, location spotlights (ex: Kalros is featured, theme explained, materials explained), raffles (lottery-style), and even paid advertisements**!

My goal for this series is to have it be an enjoyable, unbiased, amusing report of what has been going on in the Loka world. I'd LOVE to have special guests, use footage from the community, and hear suggestions from you all!

Current Segment Plans
  • Forum News
  • Major Conquests
  • Events
  • Updates
  • Lore (players, Towns, lore...)
  • Location Features
  • Town Tours
  • Town Ads
-----

* Obviously this raises some trust issues, so here's my line of thought. I come to the Town naked (no items except food). If you kill me at your Town, LNN will not feature your Town for a month, and the Town tour will not make it through the final edit of the episode. If I kill you at your Town, then take it to the forums, Discord, my channel, and wreck my reputation.

** Unlike Town tours, this would be a full-on advertisement to get people interested in joining your Town, or otherwise raising intrest in your Town as you see fit. I would have to make these ads timed, as real-life ads are, for sake of the episode, so ads you provide (note: YOU provide the ads, I don't record them! I will read from a script if necessary, though) must be concise and to the point. As for costs, right now I'm considering 64 shards for a neutral Town, times/divided by 2 for allies/friendlies and hostiles, respectively.

Unless the person just installed Minecraft for the first time I don't think they'd have a problem letting you walk around their town. You tend to be friendly
:p

Finally, something to keep the world in the loop. So if a town falls or something, least we know where to go to find out which town actually fell lol. This overall is going to have very good success! I'll subscribe.

That would indeed be the goal! Tracking Towns falling is a bit hard, as it's not really recorded aside from an easy-to-miss announcement in-game, but I'll do my best!

As a side note, the amount of people already wanting me to feature their stuff is fabulous XD Let's make this thing great!

Also, one thing that would get you alot of views is the political drama in the world. If nations have issues with each other thats a perfect story to look into, or "rising powers" kingdoms that go unnoticed as they rise to the top, pvp wise and build wise. I would expect however as a reporter you have no bias when giving out stories, and it can be hard so if you can remain as neutral as possible on heated topics on the server then you will get alot of cred.

Absolutely; my concern especially with stuff like that is that I can't be online at all times watching chat to see what goes down. As of now, political tension goes over my head. I'd love to get some connections who know how to track the juicy stories though, lol!

What I have learned as a ruler is, every ruler kinda knows whats going on with the world and the big stuff thats happening, so if you want good reliable info, talking to town leads are the best source of information. Anyways, I look forward to your news network! Already subscribed, keep it interesting.

Mind if I use this footage? Credited, of course.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you so much!

I want hourly reports.

Also I would like there to be a discussion about NerdNation and their mines
One step ahead of you my friend :)
This whole thing is just a cover-up to spam "NERDNATION HAS CONSTRUCTED A MINE" in everyone's ears each week.
Orange trees featured in this?
If an orange tree does something news-worthy I'd be happy to interview it
