No Plans to Implement Lore system update

Hello,

The lore system on the server is very nice, but the 14-line limit makes it very difficult to add stories to the lore. For example, I need at least 25 lines to write a story about a sword—describing what materials it is made of, how it was forged, its properties, and other unique characteristics. However, the 14-line limit prevents me from fully expressing these details.

I believe that a story-driven server like this would greatly benefit from lore-filled weapons. I hope you consider my request and increase the line limit. Below, I have attached the lore I wanted to create but couldn’t due to the restriction. I think such lore would be a great addition to the server.

Wishing you a great day!

Example:

"Vexter Blade

Born from the void, forged in chaos,
its melody bends time, its strike defies fate.
At the edge of light, it shatters,
unable to endure even the touch of reality.

₴ Entropy Storm III
₴ Chaotic Rend IV

This blade does not cut flesh,
it tears through existence itself.
Every strike fractures the world,
leaving behind echoes of forgotten screams.
The blade is silent,
but the void speaks through it.

Vexter series 5/5

There were four before it,
each a pillar of power,
each bound to the same fate.
This is the final piece,
neither greater nor lesser,
but the keystone upon which everything stands.
With it, the circle is complete."

I think they can't add any extra lines because the item description boxes would just be too big in-game... However I do think they could at least make each line longer than 32 characters 👀

Bro, I've written a lot of cool lore for my own server, so I know the limit, and it's not that low. Plus, the lore expands upwards as it grows, so if it doesn't fit below, it appears at the top when you hover over it with your mouse. And if you reduce the GUI scale, you can easily read a lot of lines without any issue. Even with a large GUI, it would still be visible, even if it were four times longer. Here's an example of a cool lore I wrote:

Even this only takes up half of it when the gui scale is large, and 16 lines (not counting spaces)

There are presently no plans to increase the limit. With the GUI scale and resolution most Lokans play at 25 lines would fill their entire screen. The story for your sword doesn't necessarily need to be attached to the sword itself. You could keep it brief on the sword and expand on it with a book.

Most PvP players, around 75% I estimate, keep their GUI small, so the lore wouldn’t fill the screen. But if you say so, then alright. However, instead of lowering it, why not increase the character limit per line? That way, we can write longer text horizontally. You’ve restricted that too.

Also, how would filling the screen with lore be a problem? Why would someone complain about that? At worst, they can just shrink their GUI and read it. Lore is something that can be changed, while GUI is something players might not want to adjust. If they don't want to modify their GUI, they can change the lore format or simply not use such a long lore at all.

And I’m reading your replies through translation, so I might have misunderstood. But if what you mean is "it's not in our plans," I’d like to say this: When I make a suggestion, I don’t care whether it’s in your plans or not. A suggestion is meant to bring something new. If it’s already in your plans, then why would I even need to suggest it?

If that’s the case, just write down your plans somewhere, set a timer, and when the time comes, a bell rings—"Oh, I planned this!"—and then you implement it.

But if our suggestions do matter, then don’t forget this: Players' opinions are important because they are the ones who make up your community. If you think most people wouldn’t like my idea, why not put it to a vote? That way, at least you’ll know whether your assumption is correct or not.

You don't have to take my word for it. We polled the Discord:

The length of lines are restricted for the same we restrict the number of lines. We don't want lores that take up an unreasonable amount of a player's screen, especially if it causes it to overflow past the screen. Item lore is visible to anyone, not just the player who lored it. It's unreasonable to ask a player to shrink their GUI scale so they can read the novel someone writes as their lore.

Apologies for the confusion. To clarify, we read your suggestion, talked about it, and decided not to implement it. We're not against revisiting suggestions in the future which is the reason for the language I used and why the thread prefix for denied suggestions is "No Plans to Implement".

While we do value and consider player feedback, decisions also need to take into account broader game design principles and what’s best for the community in the long run.

Thank you for your detailed information, I understand.
