Macros and Compact Status Effects are Banned on Loka

Recently we've had a few reports of players using macros/autoclickers on Loka. For those who don't know a macro is a shortcut of key sequences which let you turn widely used menus or keystrokes into one command or key combination. We would like to remind everyone that these are against Lokas rules and those caught using them will be banned. In our eyes this is no different from hacking and will result in the same punishment. Please consider this a warning to all and we will not be giving players 'second chances'.

It has also been brought to our attention this past month that the mod 'Compact Status Effects' includes a potion timer which provides an advantage in PvP vs those without it. Because of this, we will be removing it from our whitelisted mods and it will no longer be permitted to use on the server. If you are found using it beyond May 7th we will treat it like any other illegal mod. Over the last year and a half we have tried to relax our stance on mods to improve the player experience by allowing numerous quality of life mods. We don't get everything right and for whatever reason, this one slipped through the net. We would like to take this opportunity to stress that 18 months ago you could not use any mods beyond optifine and basic litematica functionality on Loka. We feel some parts of the community are coming across as very demanding in wanting us to whitelist more and more things that cannot be done in the vanilla client. We are trying our best to make the right calls and have made a lot of concessions over the years so please try to be patient with us and understanding of the decisions we make. You can do this without agreeing with us, and we encourage you to voice your views constructively to our LCRs, at SOTS, and in forum posts. As always we listen to all feedback from the community and try to implement as much of it as possible.

maybe actually screenshare some people then

like it's no secret who uses them and it's not like it's hard or time consuming to do a screenshare for a macro for autoclicking

That's exactly why we are making it clear it is against the rules.

i mean this will really not prevent people from macro/autoclicking tho its just a reminder saying "hey you are not allowed to do this" there is no actuall way to stop it /:

Fair enough, apologies in that case I'm glad you're doing something about it because it was frustrating that it was becoming the "norm" to do that rather then playing legit, figured it would be obvious but I get why you guys need to make it clear and more transparent as a server
