As many of you i am sure know by now, i am having some serious troubles playing minecraft. Well, loka specifically. I have established that it is a server to client issue, and am assuming that my ISP is somehow preventing me from connecting to Loka. I would contact them, but the chances of someone at the other end knowing how to fix it is minimal. I have tried on more than one computer, so as far as I am aware it is not my computer.
If anyone has any idea how to fix it, or any suggestions at all I will give them many a diamond if it solves my issue. I'm getting fairly desperate now. Here is a video showing my troubles.

Still no clues on my end, adder, but I can tell you that I'll be discussing server stuff with asy next weekend while I'm in Austin with him. My plan is to look for a new host for the server so we can reduce many of the lag issues we've been having lately. I'll keep everyone posted.

Actually that might help because if the server is being hosted by a new port my ISP will only be blocking the old one.

Hmm, a thought. Ever VPN'd anywhere? You could try using a proxy to get through to the server and that might mask your connection to the server. If, for some retarded reason, your ISP really was throttling your connection to loka, that would reveal it. The other option is try connecting to the server with your computer at mop's house or some other connection that isn't your own. That would also tell whether it's your computer or your ISP.

I'm certain it isnt my pc or else the mac downstairs that I have used extensively in the past would be working (it isn't). Can you guide me through what you said above? I kinda suck at this kind of thing... :P
Am I allowed to know what the server port is? That way if I contact my ISP I can query it.

The default port for minecraft servers is 25565. Try this as well (have not tested it personally, though)

Crypt that could work eventually, thanks. It hasn't worked yet for me, but all I need to do is find a suitable proxy IP and i'll be set. It's quite slow, so I'm not sure whether it will work. However, I'm slowly trawling my way through. It has worked for others though. Time for bed now, however!

How often do we see this error:
Connection Lost:
Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error
I nearly fixed today! Then it died again :(
