In the days of the Mighty Acorn Empire, I was given 4 shulkers full of cookies, and without the no hunger buff we had to eat. So I made it law that outside of combat the only thing you could eat were cookies or bread. I recommend a similar law in your town.

The only problem with that is that all the bread comes from the enormous wheat farm we have, the yield can easily fill up a double chest and i need to keep farming for levels
