As we all know, 1.14 will be upon the server at some point. Since the update is heavily focused upon underwater/ocean exploration, or the new pillager mobs, might I suggest a few new additions to make the waters more enticing to venture with some new variations to add to the oceans or rejuvenating isles. This is a rather lengthy list of suggestions I believe might be great additions to the world, and add some more variety to it.
An Ocean Monument themed civilization area, an area off the coast of either Balak or Rivinia, as there is no real reason currently to visit these areas beyond conquest, mostly due to the lack of harvestable resources. or any points of interest. This area would have guardians and drowned (occasionally some spawn with tridents) patrol the area, with the respawning resources being sponge blocks that respawn inside a larger version of an ocean monument, that would rival The Dreadfort (The large Nether Fortress-like structure in the Nether region). Elder Guardians would respawn every so often in the area for additional threat and to prevent players from actively attempting to break the structure to bypass walls and such. If desired, mobs could be given strength and/or speed to pose more of a threat to players.
A Pirate Fleet kind of Structure group that shows up along the coasts of each of the continents, with geared up mobs defending the cargo they have (can be any treasure items deemed worthy), that will disappear after a certain time frame at a variety of locations across the map (1 or 2 docking locations per continent), and the pirate crew makes either a bi-daily docking or weekly docking, with a message going in chat announcing "pirates have been sighted off the coast of xyz" when the event occurs, can happen at a variety of hours as well. This possibly could make use of the Illusion Illager mob as sort of “boss” entity guarding the cargo hold and treasure If a player raids the pirate fleet enough times possibly could be given a “Pirate” Title.
A City or Keep Area where the new pillager mobs would be hosted at, with Illagers also appearing in the vicinity, the pillager mobs also sources of new custom recipes. It would be far off from the port of the continent it is based on, as to be difficult to reach (this is a somewhat flawed idea, could use suggestions on how to improve the concept).
To make use of the pillage aspect of the new update, new NPC/Villager towns could be created to create use of the new mobs hostile behaviors, with a new sort of wave survival version of conquest, that can be done cooperatively between different guilds/nations, where various hostile mobs lay siege to these towns, with varying levels of difficulty, that are determined pseudo-randomly, with varying levels of rarity. There would also be items and valuables rewarded for completion of a defense, with the items depending upon the difficulty. These villages would have rotating quests given by the NPC inhabitants as well.
Possibly make use of the ability to make custom advancements, by creating custom, Loka specific advancements tab(s) that is viewed from the advancements tab in the pause menu, with a sort of road map comparable to the type of advancements list that exists in the base game. This would allow players to be able to see the variety of custom Loka advancements, as well as keep track of the ones they have earned, in a more streamlined method, that would be now offered by the game.
That's just about all the suggestions I can think of at the time, If anyone can give input on the ideas I've suggested here, that would be great.
