I just think that it should be 3 months long because titles are given out. If the seasons are too short everyone is going to have the titles.
No one necessarily said that there had to be ranked seasons running nonstop either though, if you still wanted persé only 4 seasons a year do that, it builds more hype anyways, what's the difference with 4 back to back to back to back seasons, no hype it's all the same.
Atleast with new seasons you're maybe even giving the staff a chance to release new incentives inbetween, new maps (if we're lucky) work on the system more before pushing it nonstop too.
(concept idea i'm about to spit and it may be seen as dumb so bare with it)
6 weeks per season, 6 weeks rest inbetween each, for example if you started this at the beginning of the calendar year we go 6 weeks from Jan 1st, until February 14th. Then we chill till April Fools when we back at it again, 6 weeks. Close out in may 14th, Skip to the peak of holidays, July 1st through to August 14th. Back for October, obviously running through mid November.
Now that isn't the "revolutionary" part of that idea obviously that's just a spitball of dates and what I think would be a nice breakup to the Ranked Season in a calendar year and is completely personal preference, what I think would be cool then is during late November through to late December (maybe just before Christmas) we have a Ranked Ultimate season, compiled of (not going to set a specific number as obviously this DOES lock many members of the community out from playing in this season) but just for example the top 10-20 from each of the four seasons all compete for the superbowl if you will and then winner gets extra cool title/rewards however you please. (if you really wanted to be exclusive go lower but I don't think that's necessary a bigger pool is usually better anyways just not so big that certain people are practically Elo Boosts)
just a random concept that cropped into my head willing to hear thoughts on it
