No Plans to Implement /nick

Recently there was a player "WashYourAss" who was asked to change his name or he'd be banned. He has had this name since 2018 and I think it's unfair to ask someone to change their name or even get/use a new account. An alternative to this could be allowing only Guardian+ to /nick the person, which was done for him on another server.

I don't think guardians should be able to change the nicks if they do implement them, they are too childish and immature, so If they do add it, then only Elders can change, it in my opinion.

I originally thought the same thing, but that's only Crypt and Mag who got other things to work on and there are a lot more active Guardians who are mature. I haven't seen one Guardian being immature as they're all admins and got that position for a reason. Why I said Guardians+

During one of our LCR meetings I actually brought up this player and asked mag/crypt if something can be done to prevent vulgar names on the server. The first step is obviously asking them to change their name which is not a huge request and will be followed up by a ban until they do change their name. Its not that hard to change your name. In your case you mention how he has had his name since 2018 and he shouldn't be forced to change it. Now im not a staff member but this is pretty poor reasoning tbh and in my opinion, if he wants to play on this server he needs to follow the rules like every normal player. It not like he had a legendary rare minecraft name, he has a name...with a swear in it...congratulations? A name change is not asking to much and hes not the only player asked to change his name as there was a player named XxX_Crackheadhoe_XxX and recently VinoviaLicksD who were dealt with and both ended up changing their names like asked.

Mojang lets you change your MC name, he would just need to hope no one steals his name while he is using another name for the 30 days he is locked to his current name.
