So the new world... This is going to be new.

New Life
New Hope
Second chances?

I was wondering if mabye players who were banned on Loka would be given a second chance on the new would.

And before people ask: No, this isn't just because I'm sad Def is banned. I've been thinking about this for a week or two.
People many of us miss and would love back, (andre, def, ext.) and people most of us don't remember very well (coolluke2003, ext.).

I call this "hopeless question/suggestion" becuase I know this may be a "absoultly not." kind of thing, but I want the idea to exist.

This would be a good thing for many people, I believe. We're human, we make mistakes. Mistakes should be forgivin, and at least given a second chance. Loka is already a wonderful server. But what if some people remember "That one server where I was given a second chance, where people forgave me."? I've heard many people say "Loka needs more players."

Many people already know of and love Loka. But they're banned. And We should make it clear if they do continue to brake rules, they will be re-banned.

We are Loka.
tough,
brave,
forgiving.

Well, we'd be giving them another chance. Besides, the formerly banned people would probelbly be watch closly.

Second chances can change the world for the better.

Well, if they X-Ray or hack again, they will be banned again.

I'm sorry Jedi, but there's no way. Too many hackers and xrayers and stuff.

Absolutely not. There's nobody who is banned who is worth bringing back except for def (controversial...) or andre, but I'm not sure either of them want to come back anyway.

They hacked. They made a mistake. Is Loka willing to forgive people who make mistakes, who do things that the rules forbid? If they're un-banned, for the new world, mabye they'd see that they shouldn't have hacked, and they'll certainly see that Loka, unlike most servers, goes above and beyond, un-banning players for a new world of hope and forgivness. This is what the new world would mean to me, should we do this.

I strongly disagree with this. Everyone has a worth. What rank have we all been?
Wanderers.
What rank are most people banned at?
Wanderer.
We let some of these people come back, and the server may be more....alive. The server goes from 0-12 people online.
We let some of there people come back, and the server will be....very busy.
Mabye some people won't just disappear again. This server was kind and forgiving to them. They won't want to leave.
Put yourself in their postion.

You just joined this new server. You love Loka.
You find a really ugly house and think Loka would be better off without it.
You destroy it.
You are now banned from your favorate server.
Waaaaaay later, you find you are able to play again because the people of Loka were forgiving, were kind. You are so happy!
You know the punishment better then anyone else, and you will never greif again.

See?

I'm afraid that's rarely how griefers work. If only that were the case.

This. So much this. Griefers rarely have any sense of morality. In videogames anyway.

Well, I have no experience on this one, but I know people who hack grief and X-ray, and from why they've told me if they were unbanned on a server they'd hit it twice as hard. Also we currently have no hack protection, and from what I've heard from my hacker friends that makes a server very vulnerable and the last thin we need to do is open it up to a bunch of hackers.

Disagreed. my rl friend, cooluke2003, greifed a house in Asgard, and when he was banned, Haloreach0367 (his brother) told me over the phone that Luke felt really bad about it.

Also, griefers always have a reason, however, the reason may not be very good. or it could be a compleatly stupid reason, But its a reason, know matter how stupid. I'm not saying greifing is OK and that just since they had a reason they should be un-banned. I'm saying they don't just do it without any reason. Although, I will admit, normally they just do it for fun.

But if we forgive them, they won't want to greif the community they was kind to them.

Second chances

Very few griefers are like the ones you have described Jedi. Like, seriously. There's no point letting them back. As people have said, we wouldn't want very many of them back anyway, as they have just been randoms who join, purely with the intention of griefing. Even if you do know people who have regretted griefing, sucks to be them. The rules are clear.
