New before I even explain myself, don't post if you aren't going to be helpful because I don't want to hear it.
I had an idea for children's book today about five cats (modeled after my own) about their fondness of a Christmas tree, the dialog of the book being the lyrics of O' Christmas Tree (or similar too). I have some lyrics, but the version of the song I am basing it off of is very short and repeats a lot. I would really appreciate if the loka community would throw ideas for me, help me make this book.
The dialog that I presently:
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree,
How lovely are you branches,
oh chrismate tree, of Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches.
Your shining star,
Your twinkling lights,
They gently flow through your the night,
Oh Christmas tree, oh chrismate tree,
How lovely are your branches.
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine so brightly,
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree,
Your presents with bows rapped so tightly (I really wanted to incorporate presents into the song as my cats sleep under the tree)
This is what I have so far, I know it's not much and that the lyrics repeat a lot. I am very open minded and even up for someone to reorganize the lyrics to have it flow more fluently. For the illistration I am going to hand draw them in coloured pencil, currently I am working on a hyper-realistic eye.
I think if there is going to be a coherent nerative that maybe it would start off with a cat looking out a frost covered window and a family brining in the tree and the cats exploring it in the night.
