We've had to ban a few Lokans this week and due to the timing of them, we decided to roll both explanations into one post.

Duping

The Staff team recently discovered that over the past 3 weeks both FroggyFruit and lilfros had found and used a dupe glitch on the market. They abused this to duplicate items ranging from diamonds, potion materials, conquest materials and more for their own benefit. They also failed to report this bug/glitch to staff. To wit, Froggy specifically did report a bug in which his own items were being lost on the market but chose not to report the dupe bug that he was using to his advantage.

The relevant (and other!) bugs have been fixed and both players have been banned for 2 months for duping as well as abusing bugs (3.1). We collected an overwhelming amount of evidence after noticing unusual activity in logs. This evidence ranges from videos of them actually doing the dupes to player interaction logs of items being moved, burned, or converted in excessive quantities, as well as market logs to confirm their activities.

Specifically, logs indicate:
- FroggyFruit used the dupe 307 times between November 20th - December 15th.
- lilfros used it 55 times between the same period.

It should go without stating that this duping would have been particularly detrimental to Loka's economy. As a result, over the next few days, we will be tracking down items that were duped, duped and then converted, or traded/gifted. Similarly, a number of items were used in levelling town masteries in Wester Fruitopia and Western Damilongwe. As a result, both towns will be having relevant town level data rolled back appropriately to account for invalid leveling. Using market and player interaction logs we can accurately account for all items that were duped and spread through the economy. In the next few days, you may be contacted by a Guardian if we believe you are in possession of duped items so that we can reclaim and destroy them. We will try to inconvenience you as little as possible and try to revert trades etc. where possible, so you are not out of pocket. However 'gifts' or large payments for completing a minimal task, (which were paid for with duped illegitimate shards) will have to be destroyed. We understand this sucks for all of you who were innocent parties that got caught up in this, but it is important that the integrity of the economy is maintained.

Ban Evasion

Meanwhile, this and last week we have banned a number of accounts being used by KingSayreSlayer to bypass his original ban for continued harassment of members of the community. We have not been oblivious to the fact that some members of the community are aware when certain banned players are alting. It was made clear to us through direct evidence that while Sayre was ban evading, he was using his main (original) Discord account whilst playing and had been in VCs with members of his alliance whilst online on Loka and in Conquest. In particular, multiple players reported that TheFreshLemon was aware of these actions and on at least one occasion, was in a VC with Sayre while he was ban evading. Logs also indicate that Lemon provided RWH (Sayre's second alt) with gear and was the one who added both RWH and Obyes (Sayre's first alt) to his town of Astro. We are additionally aware of a Discord Lemon was in where Sayre was openly talking about ban evading on Loka in text channels. Overall, TheFreshLemon is not the only player that knew about this, but he was the only one that had been strongly warned within the past 6 months for being fully aware of rule-breaking occurring and not coming to us about it. During this time of evidence gathering, we also discovered Lemon illegally used World Downloader to download the ruins of TerraIncognita. This is obviously also against our rules. Due to these actions, Lemon has been banned for 1 month.

We would like to use this post to reiterate to the community that if you know someone is breaking the rules and you do not come to us, or you assist them, you are also at risk of being banned. We have been lenient with this and generally only provided strong warnings for those failing to report bugs and rule breaks. However, we would like this post to act as a warning for everyone that we will be much stricter with punishments when it comes to this moving forward.
