Currently Paypal is the only way to donate to Loka. Out of curiosity, are there any of you or do you suppose there are many folks out there holding out simply due to Paypal hatred (I'm not particularly fond of them either). If so, I've been eyeing this as a possible alternative (in addition to, not probably instead of) for Loka donations:

I have a thought.... surprised? hahaha. But seriously, I am not sure how paypal charges you with fees using the donation/pay feature, but Patreon does take a percentage of every donation made to every creator while still passing the charging/transferring fees onto the creators. They say in their F.A.Q. "We're happy if a creator sees around $0.90 of every dollar!". I will post the link below, just copy and paste. Plus, to donate to a Patreon creator, you(the donator) are required to have a patreon account. If paypal fees are worst then 10% I would be all for Patreon. I would just hate to think that around 1 of every 10 donations made to support loka (through Patreon) would have to be used to pay fees.

In the end, I am not saying "I am totally against Patreon.". I am pretty sure they could be a good service when loka grows larger and would be able to fully utilize all of Patreons features.However, just like any thing else, you need to keep an eye on the fees.

Indeed that is higher than I'd hoped. For the record, Paypal takes about ~4-5% of the transfer as well. I get $19.12 of a $20 donation from Paypal.
