In the event of a PvP log, I think that the proper punishment be the logger should be killed by the person they logged from. People in violation of said rule should also NOT get a choice as to how their punishment should be carried out. This will eliminate any and all problems arising from combat logging, for any reason.

I also think that if admins are going to punish someone for breaking the rules, there should be a set punishment for each. Allowing one person to get off breaking the rules with a lame excuse, and banning another for breaking a rule (regardless of which rules are being broken) both people deserve equal punishment, not punishment at the admins discretion.
 
Don't worry mtn we are working hard on eradicating PvP logging completely with various plugins and such-like. Hopefully something like this shouldn't happen again. Sorry for this, doesn't seem fair to you.
 
I have planned to set written guidelines for admins, on what punishments should be handed out for each rule that is broken. I have yet to get round to doing this yet as it is a long process and i have been busy with other projects recently.
 
With the new plugin, the problem is no longer PVP logging. It is PVP kicking. If someone is kicked during PVP, they are killed instantly by the plugin.
