Being creative with no talent is the absolute worst. I have great ideas but can't do anything! I had an awesome idea for an animation, but of course can't animate. Picture this:
A dark screen with the sound of furious wind. The darkness fades and it's the one of the forests on Kalros. The leaders of the bigger northern towns (ie WinterFjell, Cerulean, Auru, ect) stand united. The scene fades and it's another dark screen, this time the sound of cows and chickens. Darkness fades, it's the Ascalon leaders standing in the Plains. The scene fades. Now, a dark screen with the sound of a waterfall. Darkness fades, and it's a jungle with the Garama leaders. The screen splits into thirds as it shows all of them taking their boat to Aladra. Then it goes to the real part: The leaders of the continent capitals are seated, like, equal distance away from each other at a round table. Those on their continent sit near them. They began speaking. Yes. I want to incorporate voice acting to create a true animated movie. It would be glorious. Anyway, the capital leaders are discussing capital policies, and most of the leaders from different continents are visually uncomfortable with each other. Discussing turns into arguing, and eventually they're standing up yelling. A few people try to calm down their allies and it turns into complete silence. The world capital calmly states the world policies, and the other leaders are either dismayed, angry, accepting of their choice. (I actually don't know who the continent capitals are... Or the world capital... Or the policies... Oops). If they're dismayed or accepting, they're sit down and nod, and it ends. If they're angry, they (maybe?) storm out and it ends. Credits roll, and a cool song plays in the background.
Unfortunately, I cANNOT ANIMATE. I have the coolest ideas, seriously! I've even come up with amv's of battles, players, and towns/places!
Actually I made a super cool animated music video in my head to the song Tiptoe by Imagine Dragons for Lea. In the beginning it goes dun dun dun.... Dun dun dun and I had the idea of a forest background and with every dun an arrow shoots from the right and ah it's so cool.
I made one for Laz with the song I'm on Top of the World by Imagine Dragons. I also made a video of an animated fight between Vanguard and Osiris, to the song Warriors by Imagine Dragons.
Traditional Disney films use hand-drawn animation. This is where they use paper and tools like pencils, paint, and ink, to create the animation by making layers and drawing individual frames. The song you posted Jedi, Take Back the Night (great song btw), is made with CGI animation. CGI stands for Computer Generated Images. CGI is built in a computer using animation software and programs.
Both styles are time consuming, but CGI is much faster compared to hand-drawn, which can take years. Some Disney movies to a decade to make! Personally I prefer hand-drawn, but in the case of Minecraft animated shorts, most use CGI.
Anyone can learn to animate, you just need the patients to do so. I hope there is someone in the community that can make such shorts, as that would greatly increase the servers reputation if they are a decent quality. But remeber, animation is just the surface of the project. All good projects, well animated or not, have a solid story and great writers making it behind the sceens. If your story is bad, your entire project is bad.
Creativity is the foundation of any animated short, until you found some kind of inspiration, you can't do anything but scratch you heads and wonder what you supposed to be doing right then. I'm not sure this is a real thing but I think you, as in Jedi, would be a good Creative Director. The person who does nothing but drink coffe and sits around until they conjure up a interesting and imaginative idea for the foundation of a project then goes and dictates to the people with talent to make what you imagined in you head.
I supose that would also be the job of the writing team, but you should get my point.
