That idea is totally wrong since if you are a player which have high ms at that time you can lose All the Matches due to the high ping but i agree with the fact that people are overplaying and i agree with the fact that we need to solve it but that is not how we do it.

i think cryptite is pretty happy with the fact people are now 24/7 using ranked since it used to be pretty dead so i dont think he would implement a feature to directly attack that

Maybe not giving a limit to players but give them temp break whenever They finish a match for example you are a player who finished your 5th ranked match without stopping, you will get 30 minutes break and you wont be able to join ranked queue.

Worth mentioning that the beginning/start of a season is always way more busy/popular. It does tend to smooth out after time.

Perhaps the underlying suggestion here is that you're facing the same people too often? I don't see the issue with a player playing a ton of duels if that's what they wanna do.

Only example I can think of is Wordle, where it limits you to play one game a day.

If this really is a problem (which I don't think it is), we're better off making the system change elo more smartly to account for this. The more people play ranked, the better it is for the server.

It’s very common in tournaments on hypixel (where I got the idea) to stop it so the people who play 24/7 it’s whoever’s more skilled
