Suggestion Rebalancing plz?

This is actually a couple suggestions bundled into one. Now, ever since 1.9 came about, we've experienced some major changes to the way combat works. And believe me, I love how dynamic it is now. Problem is, it is now VERY difficult to explore/build/found towns like I have been doing. I learned that the hard way. Skeletons are overpowered, Creepers are a big struggle to kill, and the sheer amount of mobs in the wild that spawn in excess due to the custom world are too much sometimes. So, two suggestions:

1: Nerf the mobs a bit. I feel like each individual mob is just a little too hard/time consuming/durability wasting to kill now. This could especially be a problem in the heat of battle, because when players are battling for territory, mobs can be a HUGE chore to deal with now. Skeletons in particular are really OP now in my opinion, especially due to the glitchy arrow behavior I talked about in a previous thread.

2: Give Hell on Earth a BIG nerf. With 1.9 now in effect, Hell on Earth sticks true to its name. Regular overworld mobs are already hard enough to deal with, but having to deal with Nether mobs at the same time? I think it's too much. Heck, it might even be best to remove this policy altogether.

I would really like if a staff member could consider these suggestions, or at least something along the lines of rebalancing mobs. Thanks for your time :)

I could see maybe lowering the rate at which Hell on Earth mobs spawn, but everything else is sort of against our of our core tenents to the Minecraft experience, which is that we still strive to be pretty vanilla. We pretty purposefully don't mess with mob values. 1.9 is harder for everyone, everywhere; and not just on Loka. What we do is add to the vanilla experience, rather than completely change it. So if you're used to 1.9 survival in single player, you should get the same basic experience on Loka, barring spawning rates. You should see how many veterans consider the Minecraft survival experience to be insanely too easy. Many people see 1.9 as a welcoming breath of new challenges.

Further, many of the problems you point out aren't ours to fix, they're Mojang's. 1.9 is still early in terms of release, so they have a bit to fix in terms of values and bugfixes.

Back to HoE, it's not us that you should be talking to about the policy, that'd be your nearest Capital that you should have words with ;)

Good point, and you're right. This is really Mojang's stuff to fix. I wouldn't want you to mess with mob attributes if it would subtract from what makes the server what it is. Either way, I will have to get used to the new difficulty, and I think it will help make me a more seasoned player. It also gives teamwork a new importance, which I like. In any case, thanks for reading my suggestion! It's nice to know that the staff cares :)
