Applying for Sentry.

Why?
Why you ask? I believe that I’ve played on the server for a sufficient amount of time. I’m a Friendly and helping person that Loves Loka! I would like to contribute more to the community and I feel this could be my solution. I promise not to misuse/abuse these powers as a sentry. I will also make sure that if anyone isn’t following the rules completely I shall report it to the admins, and when any new players join I’ll make sure that person knows almost all there is to know about Loka and how amazing the server is!

When & How Often
When? I joined back in early December of 2014 (Watched porpoise’s videos) (but was inactive for a couple of months). How often? I play every day for at least 3-7 hours (or about 30-35 hours a week) and if not I’m super sick or very busy

Was porpoise really in December 2014? It feels like a month ago. Time flies so quickly...

Back to the point. Gab, I think you should be our next Sentry. You're nothing but kind and helpful to new players, veteran players, and everyone in between. You know your way around, and you're willing to share the knowledge you have with others. You're already more of a Sentry that I've been the past year and a half. Apparently, you've played for a long time. (I only just now realised how long you've played. Time is a strange thing. I feel both as if I only just joined, yet also like I have played my whole life). Anyways.

I believe I have said several times that you remind me of yourself. No one can question your passion for Loka. I'll be honest, I didn't think anyone could possibly love Loka as much as I. I don't think you've paralleled me, but surpassed me. And that's saying something. It's become a home to you, as it once was to me. That passion is one of your greatest strengths.

There will be some that question your maturity, and I will address them now. As I said, Gab reminds me much of myself. Older players will remember what a immature, naive child I was when I joined. Only a few months passed until I became a Sentry, and I think that responsibility matured me greatly. It was probably one of the most important things I've done. A very proud accomplishment for me, and so I took it veru seriously. I believe the same will come of Gab.

He deserves this chance, more than many do, more than I did all those years ago. Promoting him to Sentry will hardly change what he does, it will only give him the tools to help others even more than he does now. There are very few active Sentries, and Gab is active. With the want to bring in new players, we'll need more Sentries. Let Gab be one of those. Only good things can come from promoting him.

Gabrosen, I know you are going to make an amazing Sentry. I don't think you need it, but still I wish you luck. I know I'm not alone in hoping to soon congratulate you on being promoted.

Okay, this is very true. I do act less mature on Loka then in real life and there is a very good reason for this. Its because I feel to comfortable on this server, I feel I'm able to act myself! This is not just a server to me. Its home, family, and friends! When I joined the server for the first thing to be honest I was not very impressed, no one showed me around when I first joined their was nothing to do so... I left. I joined again back in February of 2015 (because I forgot about the server) and as soon as I did people greeted me. And I'll never forget that day or should I say night... It was night and the glowstone was shining brighter then ever. Ninzaboy greeted me at spawn, showing me around, asking me if I could join his humble town. So as any new player would do. I agreed, (this was after Zor asked if he could take my head for a full set of diamond armor but I did not even know what that meant at the time so I refused) When I joined the town it was small but there lied a bunch of potential, I saw in that town very active players that were committed to the server I never understood why, until recently. This drove me to become active, because of all the potential I saw in Loka. So why I stay you ask? Because I can't leave even if I wanted to. The artifact is now a huge portion of my life, If I leave now I lose more then half of my family, friends and I would be homeless. No where to turn to when I'm down to bring me up, no where to go to act well... normal. This is why I'm immature on Loka because I'm able to express my true nature and after all who doesn't want to be a skeleton pirate who runs on redstone? :3

When looking at applications, the first thing I look for is professionalism. Your grammar improved drastically from your previous application, which I commend you for. However, I notice your grammar being more like your previous application in public chat and other forum posts. This lead me to believe that you wouldn't be taken seriously as a higher authority, which isn't a good thing. BUT you love Loka more than most people I can think of and we need more people like that online to answer players' questions and monitor chat. You are very dedicated to the server and seem to have been a part of the community for longer than I thought. For that reason, I think you are worthy of the Sentry position as long as your professionalism improves like it did in this post! (By the way, I didn't realize that Porpoise joined in December 2014, that means that I joined in December 2013, which means I've been here for 2 and a half years!)
