Suggestion Remove all alchohol books from library

Why would such thing be done?

It makes brewing boring. there is no exploring or trial and error left.

Players will still write their own brewing books, but back when there were only a few incomplete ones in library, i was told i shouldn't publish mine for it had everything, and left nothing for players to explore.

Towns and their members should explore all the drinks, and make it a skill set. a craft. instead of just screenshot the book, and know it forever.

Idk, it’s not really important to gameplay. The Firestone is something people have a reason to keep under lock. Alcohol is just for RP, really, why hide its recipe? All that will accomplish is having new players know less about it and be less interested.

The journey is the reward rather than the destination in my opinion, good game play is finding information along the way. It's the same kind of mentality as teasing at knowledge or features and never out right giving all the details.

I like this suggestion, but I don't believe it should all be removed

For lore reasons, I think it should stay. In real life, go to a library and get a cookbook. There are still, and always, ways you can explore and make things better, even if you know he basic recipe.

Idk, I just don't think people will be that interested. Figuring out crafting recipes isn't very entertaining; people just want to look it up and move on, thus the crafting guide in-game.

Ive spent over a week trying to find the Kalros gin and Ascalon Eggnog recipies. THAT WAS FUN. In the end i was the first to find them.

I also remember first time i joined, i found the brewery in Dellsmite on 2013, and i spent about solid two hours experimenting with what drinks Loka has.

It was fun. Right now when you take the books from library, theres no fun in brewing itself. its just a chore to get the drinks and drink or sell them.

Back then it was fun and actuall skillset to make the alchohol for the town.

Chairs are also for RP, but we wont ever update loka if they are not present. Rp is important.

Remember how fun it was to learn how to use minecraft - at all. Every time you made a discovery.

Thats what finding out the recipies is.

You assume what people enjoy from minecraft.

Most people that didn't understand something in minecraft googled it. Not as many people want to discover something like that. It was information discovered and then leaked and now everyone knows. If your argument is also RP, in a RP sense the knowledge got out and now everyone knows.

Next time you have to be careful with who you share your discoveries with. The amount of your books that people have is insane and honestly the continental drinks got leaked because of your many misplaced books and the fact the ones you purposefully gave weren't copies of a copy and thus people made their own copies.

Just some food for thought

Fully agree with this. Sure, figuring things out yourself is fun, but not for every aspect. Is building an iron farm without any guide fun? Not for most people, no, because it's too technical. Is going through a dangerous maze on a quest for a magical Firestone without a guide fun for most people? Yes, because it's skill-based and exhilarating. Is working out how to brew different types of alcohol - which, mind you, don't aid the player in any way aside from RP purposes - without help fun for most people? I wouldn't think so.

Granted, I've never really messed with the alcohol plugin much, but making the recipes secret would only further discourage me from doing so.
