Suggestion Remove item expire market

Error110

I belive in the market people's orders shouldn't expire after x time here are some reasons.

- there's some building items that rarely get bought but people complain when not sold I think having no expire might convince people to put theses items into the market

- it's kinda just a inconvenience mb instead of a expire make it so you have to pay by week to keep the order up or something I'm to lazy (

- I don't see any positives of having a expire date just annoying if anyone disagrees provide a reason merp

The reason its in place is so people dont put all their items on the market for unreasonable prices as a substitute for town storage.

That's a dumb way to patch that the trade lasts for around a month and it returns to escrow for a new month you could still store ur items in the market but if people do do that then people will prob notice it and report no?

It might be around 2 weeks unsure on specifics but you could still store in market

It's meant to be inconvenient, if you store a hundred items in the market, you need to individually put then back into the market 100 times every month or so.

The market HAS TO expire. If not people have a way to infinitely store items safely (just put items on it for insane prices). The only real workaround I can see is the server deciding a cap on the max price you can set for certain items to prevent this abuse but that could only work for basic blocks.

i mean the market still can be used as a unlimited storage currently its really not a huge inconvenience to begin with it goes to escrow 2 weeks however I do get your point maybe instead make it so depending on the buy volume of the item x item can stay up for longer then y item (y = high volume item e.g. diamond helm) I just think that the markets purpose is being wasted. also the only real positives I see of storing items in the market is temp storage e.g. moving a town but you could do the same effect with this expire feature. Make trade, Fill inv with sticks, end trade, player escrow, join new town, deposit to void.

mb instead of expire there could be a fee to sell items and remove tax making it more annoying to mass store items. also fixes the never ending undercutting wars making prices more stable for players too.

like to add I mean replace tax with a buy in which would be the same price as the tax but u pay before not after.

The main players we're targeting with expiration is the players who don't intend to log in for awhile. Although players can cycle their items through the market/escrow if they wish that requires them to log on; we want to avoid players putting items into the market and then taking long breaks while the market acts as a second larger vault.

ok sure but I stated in my wall of text with magpie that LOW BUY VOLUME items could have a extended lifespan for example helms prob have a avrg buy of around 100-200 a week while purple wool prob has a buy volume of 0.6 a week (prob bought rarely) I just want the market to be less empty of the random objects theres items id like to try sell but due to the annoying effort of restocking no point as it gives some return but not much.

tldr extend low buy volume items lifespan mb instead fully removing expire
