Fair point I suppose. The main reason subowner is shown is to make it clear that they can invite new players, so maybe a better alternative would be making some distinction for people who can invite people to their town or not. Possibly the chat brackets and something in /find?with most towns there powers and command access is far too limited for anyone to benefit from knowing that they are a lord, ontop of that they literally get no birches.
With /town perm everything can be changed. Command access can be completely variable as I have changed perms in my town so they aren't default. For example I want to make it so my subowners lords so that they can invite people, zone, and place but not be able to access alliance perms, other peoples rooms, etc. I think it makes a lot of sense to change lord to be displayed.Quite frankly, very few towns even zone all fancy and properly to allow level 3s to not access something lords can, for the majority of towns on loka its merely given to friends to make them "feel better" about not having subowner, I don't think there is a need to show a distinction for lords, as with most towns there powers and command access is far too limited for anyone to benefit from knowing that they are a lord, ontop of that they literally get no birches.
