Suggestion Suggestions regarding Capital Policies

First thing I wanted to bring up is swift sailing, I feel as though, with the ganks taking place in the nether and end(mainly nether) this has popped up as a possible issue of giving a distinct advantage to those in capital towns with this policy implemented. I don't think it needs to be removed as a policy, but possibly it should be rebalanced with the nether's yellow tag system. As it is currently, someone can die while attempting to kill a player in the nether, and with an elytra and swift sailing, be back to continue the fight before that players combat tag has even lapsed. Skuhoo suggested a possible rework I thought wasn't bad in damaging armor(but not breaking it) for people killed in yellow tag zones. This is only really a penalty for those that may continually return to the fight without resupplying.

I also had a personal issue with oppressive flight within the borders of a town(thanks Wolf Force.) No other policies extend to within another towns protection, it's my airspace, I should be able to do what I want within that at least. C'mon dawg, I gotta fix this spire somehow.

I always thought it didn't do so but now that I know it does I'd really want to see this fixed.

I like this idea and I also like the idea of making it a constant cap policy that all Capitals get as opposed to a proper policy you choose (like what airship is supposed to be eventually)

pretty much impartial to the rest of the post, but I specifically remember jedoi making a post about this as well (yay auru members) and mag replying that they have no plans to make builders immune to conquest, and if you have a problem with it to place an inhib. I couldn't find the thread so if someone could link that I'd appreciate it

and please make airships a thing again

You may be referring to this thread?

Specifically this:

The point of some policies like this one, really, is just to allow towns to be jerks if they want to. That's why there're several ways you can go with many of the policies.

While you don't have to PvP on Loka or participate in Conquest, that doesn't mean you should also be 100% shielded from anything about Conquest. If you're safe in your town and are in no way affected by the actions/policies of others beyond Biome Control, then you can be pretty disconnected from the world, which is something we don't want. Of course with this policy, 1.14 will also make it a little less punishing with scaffolding, but that's later.

As wise people have said, If you don't like it, setup an inhib.

Airships are something that will get some love, but as I understand it's a little low on the list at the moment.

I think it's a bit silly to have this affect people inside their towns. Although sure, you may want people to do conquest, that's not going to be what everyone wants to do on this server. Questing, building, etc. are all things that people also love to do on this server and I don't think that tying the ability to prevent someone from easily seeing a build in their town (in Bat's case) or easily being able to get around their town is something that an oppressive capitol should be able to do. Not being able to fly outside your town is already a pain enough, let alone not being able to fly inside of it.

Regarding this, scaffolding isn't even available for me to conquest for as I have no way of accessing bamboo as a resource from Kalros.

-1. Stay grounded losers. Learn to build like someone who has never visited the end. Learn to build like pre 2015.
Also people who die in ganks such as nether ganks DO lose armor dura from getting hit and ending up dying. Not only that but they also have to repot. Learn to kill and kite not stay around long enough for them to come back and tip the fight their way.

I think the main problem in nether is when finding someone grinding and having fast travel you can go to docks before fighting, go back and forth between spawn and nether secure your mats THEN go kill the person which makes you have no risk at all if you die.

It must be nice to be safe in the assertion that if one of your hole-in-the-ground towns gets oppressive flighted that you can just move to one of your allies hole-in-the-ground towns on another continent.

I may be misinterpreting this thread, but what I could recommend is perhaps a cooldown on the swift sailing policy. Perhaps a 2 minute cooldown?
