The Crystal

While I made my voyages from spawn to my small island home, I noticed a large, purple crystal floating above the lake near spawn. I, Middling, had no idea of the meaning of the large blood red runes on it, but it seems important. Fortunately, in a mysterious shack, I discovered a note saying the library may have a codex for these runes. I ask if anyone would like to come with me on my quest to uncover the meaning of the Spawn Crystal.

That crystal reminds me of the Crash Bandicoot games.

We need to find the maker of the codex.

Perhaps the maker of said codex looks something like this.

Alright. I've contacted Dwem, the maker. He writes books in Dwemeri. If we want to solve this mystery, we need to learn a new language. Who's on board!

He's the only one that speaks it. We need a key text so to speak, from him. What will it take for a cipher translation text from him?

The cipher exists. It is the Dwemiri Codex, available in the library. The codex contains the runes, and how they are written in english letters. the runes are alphabetical. Some are missing though.
