The War of the Jewel
It was late-July. A goblin army of over 500,000 rallied on Red Hill overlooking the Great Kingdom in the Far North. The sun was hot and the snow melted beneath the goblin's boots. Crear, their leader, marched forth with a mace in one hand and a curved diamond sword in the other. The goblin army marched forth. An scout in a bush alerted the King of the coming of the army. KingDuck placed 1,000 archers along the walls to slow the army down. In 4 hours, the archers were all slain. 2 hours after that, the gate was struck down and the goblins flooded the courtyard. The entrances to the castle was blocked with 2 layers of the hardest obsidian found beneath the Mines. The goblins broke the barricade with their pickaxes. It was then that the War of the Jewel began. Crear and the goblins had their eyes set on one thing: the Jewel. The Jewel is a star-shaped crystal that holds 1/3 of the power of a god. It fell down from the sky 300,000,000 million years ago, and was passed down from generation to generation. The Mess Hall was destroyed in a volley of cannonballs. The governor and some of his best troops took the lower pass to flank the goblins, but were slain. CaptainDuck led survivors into the Mines towards the throne room. Great beasts descended from the clouds and rained fireballs upon the castle, leaving gaps in the walls. CaptainDuck and his cousin DoktorDuck safely led the survivors to the throne room, where in a crate lay the Jewel. They barricaded themselves in with hard bedrock. Nothing could get through them, it seemed.
Their supplies ran dangerously low. Rationing didn't solve it. CaptainDuck made a plan. There is a passage through the mines that leads to the underground docks where his ship "The Grand Feather" was.
The goblins smashed their way through the bedrock. Many say it was a spell of some sort. Others say their strong pickaxes cracked it. KingDuck went head to head against Crear. KingDuck seemed victorious after giving Crear several cuts and detaching his arm, but never underestimate the might of the goblins. Crear beheaded KingDuck with his curved diamond sword in one blow. CaptainDuck grabbed the crate. Less than 100 survivors ran into the depths of the Mines towards the docks with the goblins on their tails. After some twists and some turns, they lost the goblins.
At the docks, CaptainDuck boarded his ship. He set the explosives under the castles to detonate, and a few dozen survivors stayed behind to keep the goblins back, giving The Gran Feather enough time to exit up the water passage. As the sacrifices were made, the remaining survivors made it out just as the castle erupted in flames, sinking to the ground, and destroying all the goblins. The War lasted 8 days.
6 weeks later, CaptainDuck, DoktorDuck and 4 survivors returned to the wreckage. It was overrun by goblins by now. Upon hearing of Crear's failed attempt at taking the Jewel, 600 goblins marched to the ruins of the Kingdom.
AFTER: The Jewel was lost in a storm at sea. As half of The Grand Feather was torn apart by a legendary sea beast, the Jewel sank to the depths of the ocean. The ruins of the Kingdom has been turned to an outpost for goblins. A diary was recovered from the wreckage and was placed in the Library of Loka signed under the name of DoktorDuck.
